War 2 is an 2025 Indian action thriller in Hindi. It is the sixth film in the Yash Raj Films (YRF) Spy Universe. The film was directed by Ayan Mukerji and produced by Aditya Chopra under YRF, the film combines the best talents of both worlds and is supported by the largest budget ever in Indian cinema.

Estimated at 400 millions, War 2 is among the priciest Indian films of all time. The extravagant budget includes salary that are reported to be as high as

Story & Plot
War 2 begins in the midst of Major Kabir Dhaliwal becomes into a rogue, and is a serious threat to the security of our nation. To counter this an intelligence specialist, Vikram Chelapathi (Jr NTR) is assigned. The clash of ideologies patriotic sentiment, and high-risk intelligence are the main factors in the story.
Filming & Locations
The principal photography started in October 2023. There were shootings that span Mumbai, Spain, Italy, Abu Dhabi, Kashmir as well as Japan (depending on the sources) to create a stunning visual spectacle.
The production was said to have involved 150 days of shooting including six major scenes of action, 5 nations and, at a minimum, an important dance scene starring Hrithik Roshan as well as Jr NTR.

Promotions did not go without controversy, with Jr NTR’s unapologetic “Be silent while I’m talking” response to a fan during the event before release that sparked mixed reactions.
The Verdict
War 2 is unquestionably a star-studded, high-budget spectacle, YRF’s most daring spy thriller to date. The global scale of production along with its elite cast and its cross-regional appeal make it as a benchmark within Indian cinema. But, despite its initial success at the box office however, the critical stance towards its narrative style and predictable plot could affect its lasting legacy.
